Birkbeck Stratford's Postgraduate Taster Lectures aim to give you an idea of what it's like to study at a postgraduate Masters level, giving you a chance to test out postgraduate study. As well as providing a taster of postgraduate study, the lectures also give you the opportunity to learn more about a specific area which you can then take back into your workplace or job search.

This lecture will begin with an introduction to Birkbeck's Department of Management before a 45 minute taster lecture from Dr Bruno Schivinski, Ph.D., FHEA sociologist and lecturer in marketing at Birkbeck, University of London.

This lecture invites students and researchers to learn more about the link between consumers’ perceptions of brands and their social media behavior, a topic of relevance for both academics and practitioners. It will cover a broad range of topics within the field of social media advertising including the effects of advertising messages on consumers, techniques for developing effective advertising messages and consumer engagement with brand-related activities.
