Speaker Bio:

Madeline Roelofsma is currently Employee Experience Researcher at the Ministry of Justice, looking at what staff think is great (and not so great!) about working at the Ministry. This is latest in a string of roles in several Government Departments over the past 13 years, which have included: being responsible for data integrity during the short-lived introduction of ID Cards; working with Ministers and Board Members as Head of Secretariat at the Department of Business; and running a Ministerial Briefing Hub during the steel crisis.

After completing her PhD in Spanish at Birkbeck in 2001, Madeline worked briefly in Spain before returning to the UK where she worked for a conflict transformation charity and an NHS hospital before becoming a Civil Servant in 2006.
