Data Management Plans for Supervisors

Venue: Birkbeck Main Building, Seminar Room, Library

This event has ended.

Data Management Plans (DMPs) are a useful tool for ensuring data is looked after correctly at every stage of the research lifecycle. If your or your students research involves the collection or reuse of data, or involves ethical approval, it might be appropriate to have a DMP.
This can be a daunting task:
What should be asked?
How should it be judged?
Where can you get help with this?
This session will aim to give supervisors the knowledge they need to ask their students to create DMPs, and then be able to give their students feedback or point them to the right places for help.
This is an interactive 1.5hour long session. There will be discussion and opportunities for questions.
(This session is complimented by “Data Management Plans for PGR/Masters Research Students” 13/02/2019)
