Having spent some time thinking about your assignment question, you will now need to go about your assignment research. Birkbeck Library is full of facilities to help you navigate the information landscape in your subject area, but how do you go about reading, notemaking, collating and sorting the information you find?

In this workshop, we will look at strategies for effective notemaking on your research using apps and software. We will also explore how to leave a ‘breadcrumb trail’ for yourself to ensure you can always find your way back to the full citation when you are doing your references or bibliography.
