Study Skills: Zotero for managing references - live demonstration

When:
Venue: Online

Book your place

Zotero is a free, open-source, online tool for managing references. This live demonstration will cover:

  • Downloading Zotero onto your computer
  • Using it to capture online resources automatically.
  • Organising references
  • Using the Zotero Cite with Word so you can add references to essays quickly and easily in Ms Word.

The workshop will address multiple academic referencing styles including Harvard and MHRA. There will be plenty of opportunities to ask questions during the session.

Law students are advised that Endnote is more suited to their needs than Zotero because it works better with Lexis. UCL has a useful guide to Endnote.

Please note this workshop is for enrolled Birkbeck students only, and you will require your student login details to access the workshop.

This online workshop will take place on a Blackboard Collaborate link within the Birkbeck Study Skills Moodle Module. If you have booked, you will be emailed another link as a reminder to your registered email address (so please remember to check your junk mail).

This workshop will be repeated at various times throughout the academic year. There is also an online tutorial which covers all the key skills.
