Get Ahead, Stay Ahead is a series of eight presessional study skills and writing workshops, designed to help you prepare for university before the beginning of term. Each 2 hour session consists of an hour-long lecture/workshop with activities, a 15-minute practice activity and a 45 minute 'skills clinic' for questions and discussion.

Managing your time effectively and organizing your studies are essential parts of being a student, and for a healthy work-life-study balance. In this online workshop, you will assess how well you organise and manage your time at present and learn key time management techniques to help you to organise your time more effectively in line with your chosen goals.

This online workshop will also help you establish an effective routine of studying independently outside the university and online, and offers various tips, as well as issues to consider, to help your studies be as successful as possible while studying from home.

This online workshop will take place on a Blackboard Collaborate link within the Birkbeck Study Skills Moodle Module. You will be emailed another link as a reminder to your registered email address. (But please remember to check your junk mail.)

This workshop will repeat on Saturday 5th, Wednesday 9th, and Thursday 24th September.
