Birkbeck’s innovative new LLM in Law and New Technologies is a research-led programme that focuses on how new technologies are transforming the way society operates - the way we communicate, the way we work, the way we do business, the way we travel - and the profound consequences of these changes for the practice of law.

Join us for a Virtual Information Evening, where Dr Bernard Keenan will discuss various aspects of the programme, including modules, the format of teaching and assessments, followed by a Q&A. This will take place in an online 'chat-room'. Dr Keenan will present live via a video feed and you will be able to post any questions you may have via instant messaging.

The programme is centred around seminars in which you will discuss contemporary challenges posed by new technologies. Following an introduction to practical and theoretical ideas on the most pressing questions connected to law and technology, you will then apply these ideas to contemporary world problems such as the erosion of democracy, climate change, economic inequality, political radicalisation, cybercrime and the new wave of automation facing labour markets. The programme is aimed at both law and non-law graduates.
