Who is the Get Started: Postgraduate Study Drop-in for?
The workshop is open to those who are thinking about undertaking a taught Masters, postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma. It is not suitable for those who want information about applying for a PhD.
What type of advice and questions will you be answering in the drop-in?
The week before the drop-in we will send you through three video resources. In these videos we talk about:
- The different types of postgraduate study
- How to apply for postgraduate study
- Fees and financial support for postgraduate study
- How to prepare for postgraduate study
The drop-in will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have after watching these videos. For example, you may have questions about your personal statement, how to apply for the postgraduate loan or whether to study part-time or full time.
At the drop-in we'll also be joined by two current Birkbeck postgraduate students who can give you a real insight into what it is actually like studying at postgraduate level at Birkbeck!
