Water Quipu: A performance by Cecilia Vicuña

An event to celebrate the completion of the Weaving Communities of Practice project, 12 June 2013, School of Arts, Birkbeck, University of London

In this multimedia performance the artist Cecilia Vicuña weaves images, chants and stories of her life as a quipu maker, a quipucamayoc of the 21st century. Weaving in and around water she brings forth ancient associations to confront contemporary realities.
