A talk and discussion about one of the most powerful political autobiographies of the twentieth century. Central to Malcolm X’s personal and political transformation was his decision to learn to read. This session reflects on the connections between reading, empowerment and change. With Dr Anna Hartnell.

To celebrate Adult Learners’ Week 12th -18th May, Birkbeck are hosting a series of free information, advice & guidance sessions together with debates, performances, workshops and lectures at Cambridge House in Camberwell. Come for the whole day or just drop in.
