Self-Employment Bootcamp: Finding Work & Sourcing Clients

When:
Venue: Birkbeck Clore Management Centre

No booking required

This is the second Bootcamp of the year with IPSE, The Association for Independent Professionals & the Self Employed, who we are delighted to be an official partner university with - and we're looking forward to hosting another hands on bootcamp to enhance your self-employed ventures!

IPSE is the voice of the UK's self-employed population, supporting their members in running their businesses and we're excited for the second instalment of the Bootcamp series, looking at the best ways to find work, attract your audience and ultimately build your brand.

The session will cover:

  • Identifying your target audience
  • Top tips to source clients
  • The foundation of starting out and finding work
  • Knowing Your Worth
  • Q&A discussion

You'll gain an insight into the realities of self-employment as we'll be hearing from an IPSE member who has successfully grown their venture and will be sharing their story, advice and journey so far.

Melissa Holloway

Melissa is a freelance healthcare advertising medical copywriter and diabetes care industry expert and will be joining us for this fantastic workshop to share her story, advice and experiences.

Melissa has had an interesting journey to freelancing and consulting with plenty of insight around learning how to tell people you've gone freelance, finding clients that will pay your rate, knowing your worth and working with the right clients. She worked as a full-time employee before turning to freelancing, so has experience of transitioning from permanent employment to self-employment.

Melissa was also a Runner Up for Freelancer of the Year 2017!
