Roots and Routes: Remembering and documenting Black Britain
Event description
What does Black History Month mean for you? Do you have an object, story, or memory that has a special meaning for you and can tell us something about the richness and diversity of Black culture and identity in Britain? If so, come along to the Idea Store, Whitechapel on Saturday 6th October 2012 2-3pm, to share your experiences and memories with others and discuss ways in which the diverse histories of Black Britain can be uncovered and more widely circulated through your local or national media.
This free event is part of Birkbeck's Black History Month celebrations. All are welcome. Contact Patrice Buddington on 0208 223 4390 for more information.
