This talk will be presented by two of the editors of this book, Christina Gkonou and Jean-Marc Dewaele. It will situate the book within current research on language anxiety and provide an overview of the chapters in the book. It includes quantitative, qualitative, reflective and pedagogical chapters. Contributors to the book include young scholars and experienced researchers who have shaped the field over the years: they include Zoltán Dörnyei, Tammy Gregersen, Elaine K. Horwitz, Jim King, Peter MacIntyre, Tucker Olson, Rebecca L. Oxford, Fernando D. Rubio-Alcalá, Erdi Şimşek, Lesley Smith, Zsuzsa Tóth, Christina Gkonou, Mark Daubney and Jean-Marc Dewaele.
