Event description
This seminar looks at the research aiming to map the language of age at work. Adopting critical discourse analysis as a framework, we will consider the construction of age discourses; look at particular conceptions (such as generations) and examine the inter-relationships between these. This research project is supported by a grant from the Richard Benjamin Trust.
The morning session will focus on the topic of Age while the afternoon will cover methodological issues associated with our e-research approach.
Outline agenda:
11.00 – 13.00: Age at work: voices and conversations from our data
13.00 – 14.00: Lunch (you must select at least one other session if you wish to attend lunch)
14.00 – 16.00: E-research: methodological challenges and insights from our project.
