Profile

Dr Nicolette David is a lecturer in German at Birkbeck, University of London.

Her specialist fields of interest are critical theory, especially psychoanalysis and gender; drama and the novel in the 19th and 20th centuries; German and Austrian Modernism; Weimar Culture; and Film Studies.

She is currently working on Desire in Thomas Mann.
