The College values its institutional culture which embraces diversity for all its members (students and staff) and its visitors which is in line with the College’s founding beliefs and ethos of openness and access for all, and over the years it has successfully reflected the rich diversity of the London amongst its staff and student population.

The College's Single Equality Strategy is the overarching strategic framework which sets out Birkbeck's vision and commitment to champion and manage a range of diversity initiatives and activities to ensure visible equality outcomes that demonstrate equity, access and fairness across the College.

This site is maintained by the HR Manager - Equalities who is available for information and advice on any issues relating to equality and diversity.
