Research Associates

The Institute of Environment is open to any Birkbeck academics who wish to be a member. If you wish to become an associate or update your details please email the web editor: geds@bbk.ac.uk .

Administered by GEDS, the Institute of Environment involves a number of Birkbeck Schools and Faculties and provides central administrative and student support for the College's environmental programmes.

The Institute of Environment takes an active role in promoting environmental research and in providing commentaries on environmental issues. It works to promote cross-disciplinary debate, discussion, thinking and research on environmental issues. Its activities include seminars, conferences, symposia, reading groups and other academic events related to members' core interests, as well as providing an electronic resource that draws together social research carried out at Birkbeck.
