Part-time undergraduate students financial support

There is new government money and new Birkbeck money available to support you, so money worries should not prevent you studying.

The sort of students who are eligible for financial support include:

• single students with no children, earning up to £27,500 pa
• married/partnered students with two children, earning up to £32,500 pa

There are four sources of funding available:

• Government Fees and Course Grants
• Government Discretionary Fees and Course Grants
• Birkbeck College Awards Scheme
• Birkbeck Student Opportunity Bursary

Please note:

• If you are eligible for a Government Fees and Course Grant your application for a grant must first be submitted to your Local Education Authority (LEA) before you can be considered for additional financial support.
• If you are not eligible for a Government Fees or Course Grant contact Birkbeck Student Financial Support Office for advice on what grants are available.
