'What I particularly enjoyed about Birkbeck's interdisciplinary Renaissance Studies MA course was that it was practical as well as academically stimulating.

'For example, I studied palaeography and acquired research skills enabling me to make good use of Bloomsbury's rich range of resources, including Dr Williams' Library, the British Library, the Warburg Institute and the Wellcome Institute.'
