Event description

Josh Cohen, Professor of Modern Literary Theory at Goldsmiths, University of London, talks about his forthcoming book, The Private Life. Taking off from the current scandals and anxieties raging around privacy, the book employs a number of different registers (memoir, cultural commentary, clinical vignettes) and sources (psychoanalysis, literature, philosophy) to explore the pervasive drive in contemporary life to eliminate the essential strangeness of private experience.
