Winton Capital PhD Mathematics Scholarship

We are delighted to announce a scholarship kindly sponsored by Winton Capital, which would fund the successful applicant throughout a 3.5 year full time PhD in Mathematics at Birkbeck, University of London. The scholarship will cover the fees of a “Home” student, in addition to an annual stipend of £15,000. Mathematics research strengths at Birkbeck include Algebra, Combinatorics and Financial Mathematics. Birkbeck strongly supports initiatives to improve the gender balance in STEM subjects – half our senior faculty in Mathematics is female, more than double the national average, and we particularly welcome applications from women candidates for this scholarship.

Applications are open from now until Friday 24th June.

To apply for the scholarship please read these guidance notes and complete this application form.

You’ll also need to complete the standard Birkbeck PhD online application.

If you have any questions about the Scholarship, please contact Sarah Hart, Professor of Mathematics at Birkbeck.
