Graduate Diploma in Statistics

Programme Director: Richard Pymar

The Graduate Diploma in Statistics is a two-year programme designed for students with mathematical ability who wish to learn more about Statistics and its applications. It is one of a suite of Statistics programmes offered here at Birkbeck. By focusing exclusively on Statistics, this course allows you to cover all of the Statistics offered as part of our BSc Mathematics and Statistics programme.

To obtain the Graduate Diploma in Statistics, you will take four modules over two years. Lectures and other teaching activities take place in the evenings, from 6 to 9pm, mainly during the autumn and spring terms, with revision classes in the summer term. You will be required to attend on two evenings a week during term. However, examinations usually take place in late May and in June during normal daytime working hours.

To obtain the Graduate Certificate in Statistics, you will complete two year-long (30 credit) modules over one year.
