Ross Biddiscombe

Ross Biddiscombe is a journalist of over 30 years’ experience and can provide a CV that is uniquely wide-ranging and global. He continues to work as a journalist in all areas of print, broadcasting and online as well as teach, and his readers and students are spread all over the world.

Over the years, Ross has also been a columnist, author, broadcaster, on-stage presenter, TV producer and PR consultant. He often specialises in writing about two subjects, sport and television, but in the past has written about everything from crime and health to food and travel. He has worked for national newspapers in the UK like The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph; he has contributed to monthly magazines ranging from Golf Monthly and Sport Business to Roanoke Lifestyle and RTS Television; and has also written for regional daily and weekly newspapers and specialist and trade magazines. Ross spent a few years as a radio news reader/reporter and has worked in various roles for several TV channels including National Geographic in the UK and South Africa's SuperSport channels where he was most recently an on-air pundit. Among his most notable achievements have been meetings with a remarkable list of sports people, celebrities and even British royalty ranging from Muhammed Ali and the Duke of York to Seve Ballesteros and Benedict Cumberbatch. Ross’s 13 books are all in the sports domain and include several about historical topics in both golf and football including an alternative history of the Ryder Cup (Ryder Cup Revealed) and The Official Encyclopedia of Manchester United. Away from writing and the media, Ross is a keen golfer, skier and runner as well as a member of the Broadcasting Press Guild, the Royal Television Society and the Sports Journalists Association.
