    Biography

    David has taught at Birkbeck as an Associate for over 20 years and helped set up the first MA Arts Management and Policy. He now teaches on the arts marketing pathway and the MA Digital Media Management module and has a wide-ranging experience of the creative and cultural industries and international entrepreneurial business formation to bring to his teaching practice.

    After leaving the South Bank Centre as Head of Press and Publicity he pursued a successful career as an arts marketing consultant and internet entrepreneur working for Virgin Airways and M&S. Re-joining the arts sector as Director of Communications at the Crafts Council he later moved to the National Lottery and recently led a successful cultural development programme at King's College and Imperial College, London.

    Other posting include Director of Digital Services at the Creative and Cultural Skills Council and work in SE Asia for the British Council. He is also involved in the MA Chinese Cultural Heritage Management programme at the Ming-Ai Institute and is a active member of the European Movement.
