Centre for Media, Culture and Creative Practice
The Centre for Media, Culture and Creative Practice offers an open forum for research development and knowledge exchange, focused both on the work of academic staff and the research of graduate students. It aims to facilitate and advance innovative thinking and incubate new ideas, drawing together a range of interdisciplinary interests that form a context for graduate teaching, as well as create connections between creative practitioners and academics.
Through the organisation of reading groups and seminars, workshops, conferences and public events involving distinguished scholars and leading practitioners, the Centre operates to foster pioneering research in media, cultural studies and creative practice.
Its directors, Dr. Lorraine Lim and Dr. Janet McCabe, manage the activities of the Centre for Media, Culture and Creative Practice, with an advisory board / steering committee including members of the faculty.
