Music

Our music courses range from weekend events to full certificate and diploma courses, so you can satisfy your curiosity for as little or as much time as you like.

The academic study of music offers a chance to discover the reasons for changes of style, putting history, philosophy, society and the arts into context. It encapsulates many ideas and movements, but is also able to enrich our lives.

New and avant garde music, or music we have loved for years, is hugely enhanced by the understanding of how that music came about.

The study of music and its creation can include historical research, philosophical enlightenment, and above all the constant in-depth appreciation of the glorious music we choose to listen to.
