Kathy Crick

Improvisation and Choreography

Kathy Crick teaches Improvisation, Contact Improvisation (CI), Performance and Choreography at Laban and (CI) at London Metropolitan University.

Her teachers have included Mary Fulkerson, Kirstie Simson, Steve Paxton, Nancy Stark Smith, and KJ Holmes, among others.

Her professional work has included: Dancing with choreographer Yolande Snaith and with Motionhouse Dance Theatre; collaborations with Theatre Directors Richard Gregory and Tim Wheeler; creating performances with choreographer / composer Sarah Goldfarb and site specific work with composer Charles Hayward.

She is a member of the collective SoFt; a group of artists researching Contact Improvisation in performance. Kathy has devised work and tau ght extensively in educational and community settings.

She has informed her work with studies in Shiatsu, Psychology and Education.
