Martine Rouleau
Martine teaches Arts Administration and Management (core) and a module on the Education Pathway.
Martine has a PhD in Cultural Studies and Humanities from the London Consortium, focused on public art institutions' boundaries, and the negotiation processes involving artists and audience in their formation. She obtained a Masters in Semiotics and Communication specialising in documentary photography from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2002. As a freelance cultural programmer, she organises regular talks and conferences, notably the ‘Philosophy of the Overlooked’ and the ‘Pushing the Boundaries’ series with the Institute of Contemporary Arts and the ‘Take a Deep Breath’ conference with Tate Modern. She is a founding editor of the Static Web resource. She also lectures in the Fine Arts department at Goldsmiths College.
