Henry Lydiate

Henry teaches Business and Legal Aspect (Arts Policy Pathway). He is a specialist on international legal frameworks for art business; international art contracts; international auction practices; commercial and non-commercial museum and gallery management; and international intellectual property rights and their management.

Henry works as an art business consultant, through The Henry Lydiate Partnership, whose clients include artists, artist's estates, collectors, art market professionals, commercial and non-commercial galleries and museums, and auction houses.

He has written regular Artlaw columns for Art Monthly since 1976, which are available as the Artlaw Archive at Artquest, for which he also leads a team of consultants. Henry also teaches at the MA in Contemporary Art and the MA Art Business at Sotheby's Institute of Art in London, and is Visiting Professor at the University of the Arts London.
