David teaches one of the modules on the Marketing Pathway. David has a wide-ranging experience of the UK’s creative and cultural industries. After leaving the South Bank Centre as Head of Press and Publicity he pursued a successful career as an arts marketing consultant and internet entrepreneur working for Virgin Airways and M&S. Rejoining the arts sector as Director of Communications at the Crafts Council, he later moved to the National Lottery and recently led a success cultural development programme at King’s College and Imperial College London.
Other posting include Director of Digital Services at the Creative and Cultural Skills Council and work for the British Council. He has been lecturing at Birkbeck since 2000.
