Dionyssis Dimitrakopoulos is Senior Lecturer in Politics at Birkbeck’s Dept. of Politics. His research and teaching focus on the European Union and the domestic politics of EU membership. His research relates to a range of political institutions such as the European Commission and national parliaments as well as the role of norms in institutional change and has appeared in leading refereed journals including the European Journal of Political Research, the European Journal of International Relations, the Journal of Public Policy and the Journal of European Public Policy. He is currently working on the state of emergency in the EU and the reform of the Greek tax collection institutions.
