As part of this delegation Muthu also spoke at the 5th International Conference on IPR held from 3-4 December 2019 in New Delhi. This conference was a joint initiative by many Indian government bodies such as the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Intellectual Property India, and Confederation of Indian Industry etc., International bodies such as UK Intellectual Property Office, and World Intellectual Property Organization, and multinational companies such as Unilever and NIIT Technologies etc.
Muthu had the opportunity to meet the representatives of Indian government, industry and academia as well the attendees from around the world. She viewed this as a great platform to share knowledge on intellectual property management for co-creation, explore opportunities for collaboration and learn about India’s strategies for innovation and IP-led technology for a $5 Trillion Economy in 2025
The key outcomes of this visit are two folds: First, joint international coursework development, and second, international research collaboration, linking intellectual property and university business interactions. Muthu is looking forward to taking these outcomes forward, specially as a platform to generate impacts from her research.
