A debate on what are the “best” ways for universities to engage in knowledge exchange has started to take shape in the UK and elsewhere. Understanding universities’ knowledge exchange strategies, and the infrastructures and competences that are required to support them, is important in order to grasp how the sector is evolving and what policy can do to enable universities to productively engage with business and the community. This workshop brings together researchers and policymakers in order to discuss:
- What are universities’ different strategies of engagement in knowledge exchange? Are they changing / evolving?
- How to measure the success of knowledge exchange strategies?
- How can policy support universities’ engagement in knowledge exchange?
