What to read and how to read Chilean novels of the dictatorship? From non fictional to fictional narratives, an argument in favor of the political power of aesthetics.

Grínor Rojo holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Iowa. His field of studies includes Latin American critical theory, literature and culture. He is currently Professor at the Center of Latin American Cultural Studies at the University of Chile. His latest books include Clásicos latinoamericanos. Para una relectura del canon 2 vols. (2011); De las más altas cumbres. Teoría crítica latinoamericana moderna (1876-2006) (2012) and Las novelas de formación chilenas. Bildungsroman y contraBildungsroman (2014).
