July Summer School

London Theatre – Plays in Performance

This central London course combines the pleasure of world class theatre, enthusiastic teaching and stimulating contact with theatre professionals, in the company of theatre- goers from all over the world. You can attend both weeks or either one. A high standard of spoken English is essential to benefit fully from this course.

Each day there will be a flexible programme of discussion groups and visiting speakers between 10.00am and 3.45pm. For our visits to the theatre, the best available seats will be obtained. Details of the plays to be studied and a short reading list will be sent to members in June. Some evenings each week will be left free for you to visit other productions if you wish.

Accommodation
Resident members will have single study bedrooms in the International Hall of Residence in Bloomsbury, within a few minutes' walk from Birkbeck. Please note that this Faculty will not take responsibility for arranging any additional or special accommodation beyond the initial booking. Additional requests should be made directly to the Hall. Contact details will be available from the Executive Officer, Pam Hendon on +44 (0)20 7679 1064 or drama@FLL.bbk.uk, nearer the time.
