Kasia joined Birkbeck in August 2001 as PA to Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences; Administrator for MRes in Computer Science, MRes in Information Systems & Management, MSc Advanced Information Systems, Web Information Management, Intelligent Information Systems programmes in the School of Computer Science and Information Systems and London Knowledge Lab-BBK Administrator.

After completing technical college in Poland as a civil engineer, Kasia took a break in her studies and came to London. She discovered a very flexible way of studying in London and has since completed various Certificates in English language and also Cambridge Certificates in IT. She also studied child psychology in the Polish University Abroad in London.

Kasia worked in one of the biggest language colleges in London between 1997 to 2001, where she was initially appointed as an administrator and branch manager, overseeing five multilingual members of staff.

Kasia is delighted to play a key role at Birkbeck. She finds it a cosmopolitan place to work and study, and values the dynamic interaction between its diverse student base and staff. 

She finds working in higher education immensely stimulating and rewarding and takes pride in being involved in the administration of a world-class research and teaching institution such as Birkbeck.
