Open Evening 21 July: What's On
Throughout the open evening, staff from all our departments will be on-hand to answer your questions. There will be an informal drinks reception in room 102 on the first floor where you can meet our academic staff and some of our current students.

During the open evening, there will be a number of presentations which you can attend. The presentations will help to answer some of your questions and also give you a taster of what we have to offer.

Study Skills
Our Learning Co-ordinator, Mr Richard Carabine, supports our students in all aspects of their studies. During the open evening, he will be available for informal chats. He will also be giving a number of talks.

Presentations from the Department of Management
The Department of Management is an internationally recognised centre of excellence in teaching, research and consultancy in the broad field of management. During the open evening, many of our academic staff will give presentations.

Presentations from the Department of Economics, Mathematics and Statistics
Teaching at the Department of Economics, Mathematics and Statistics is informed by the latest research and by the needs of employers. They offer a wide selection of graduate, undergraduate and 'conversion' courses in economics, finance, mathematics and statistics. In addition, they also provide customised in-house training to various government departments and city firms.

Presentations from the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems
The Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at Birkbeck is one of the long-established computing departments in the UK, having celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2007. They provide a stimulating teaching and research environment for both part-time and full-time students.

The Department of Organizational Psychology is a highly successful and fast-growing section of Birkbeck, University of London with an active programme of research. All of our academic staff are active researchers as well as enthusiastic teachers and publish cutting-edge articles in the world's leading journals.
