Join the Working Party

The Birkbeck Institute interns will start recruiting a group of PhD students to help organise the 2019 Graduate Conference in spring 2019. The Graduate Conference aims to engage with all students across Birkbeck and encourage stimulating interdisciplinary discussions. Joining the working party will be an invaluable training opportunity for PhD students to organise and participate in an International Conference. Members of the Working Party will be part of the planning process, support the logistics of the event and have the opportunity to chair panels and interact with invited guests. Anyone interested in joining should email

The Institutes will run a series of workshops on ‘How to Make your Academic Conference a Success’ in the autumn term, the first of which will focus on the Call for Papers. Those interested in joining the working party are invited to participate and meet the interns.
