Why attend this workshop?

Understanding yourself is the foundation for making great choices about your career. Knowing yourself well means that you feel confident in sharing your strengths, interests, preferences and needs.

 What we'll cover:

In this workshop we will be exploring how self-awareness is essential for developing goals that reflect what is truly important to you allowing you to value what makes you unique.

 Key takeaway:

This will impact your self-efficacy and belief in what you can achieve helping you deal with some of the  challenges you may encounter in your job search.

We will also signpost resources on the Careers Portal which you can use to help you explore this further.

The Ability Programme will run until the end of June 2020. It includes a suite of  specialised workshops, external speaker & networking events as well as bespoke one to one session days. We will also be able to offer a limited number of paid week work placements which students can apply for. These will take place mostly in the Summer 2020.

If you have any accessibility or support requirements for the event, please email employability@bbk.ac.uk to let us know or arrange to have a conversation about them.
