Teaching

My special expertise is in the area of microbial ecology, mycology and plant pathology, which are essential topics in our taught programme at undergraduate and graduate levels. I teach within these subject areas at fundamental and advanced undergraduate level, and also at Masters level, contributing to two different master's programmes. Furthermore, as well as the formal teaching every year, there is other, substantial informal contact time with students, for example field trips and research project supervision.

I teach the BSc course units Introductory Microbiology and Microbial Ecology, and the MSc components Mycology, Plant Pathology and Microbial Ecology.
