Researching education across the lifecourse
Birkbeck Institute for Lifelong Learning (BILL) acts as a hub for interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary research into education across the lifecourse. Its research spans a variety of disciplines, connecting educational researchers in sociology, psychology, social policy, economics and philosophy.
BILL takes an active role in promoting research into education and lifelong learning, and its membership is both national and international, and open to anyone researching, studying or a practitioner in education and lifelong learning. It has a number of events each year, including seminars and conferences, many of which are free of charge. It offers supervision of research students (MPhil/PhD) in a wide range of fields in education/lifelong learning across the lifecourse.
