Italian Futurism and the Development of British Literary Modernism

My thesis explores how the Italian  Futurists’ desire to commit to a full-scale aesthetic revolution prompted a drastic reconsideration of textual strategies in their literary output, and seeks to determine how these strategies may have, directly or indirectly, influenced British writers in the early twentieth century. I am particularly interested in the writings of Mina Loy and Wyndham Lewis, along with English-language journals of the period.
