About Dr Fleur Rothschild and Learning Support

I provide learning support and advice to students in their first year of study in the School of Arts.  In the Autumn Term, I run a series of 8 Workshops on various aspects of Study Skill and performance (for details and enrolment, click the links, below).  In the Spring Term, I offer a structured, 5-week course in the elements of Essay Writing.  This programme is repeated later in the Spring Term to facilitate the participation of as many students as possible.

Every Department in the School provides help for students at every stage of your degree.  Your first points of contact should always be your personal (or equivalent pastoral) tutor and the administrator of your programme.  If you should need further individual support in your first year of study, your tutor will refer you to me for one-to-one advice and assistance.   These sessions, which are pre-booked, take place in my office after week 6 (‘Reading Week’) in the Autumn Term and throughout the remaining  Spring and Summer Terms of the academic year.

I look forward to helping you to make the most of the opportunities for study and self-development which your time in the School will offer. Please do not hesitate to call on us.
