The Birkbeck Music Society

The Birkbeck Music Society meets to explore a wide range of musical subjects and is open to anyone wishing to learn more about music.  The Society meets on the last Friday of the month from 6.30 - 8.30pm in room 1, Ground floor, 43 Gordon Square, WC1.

Our recent programme of events have included:  ''Beethoven's Op 18 Quartets Reconsidered';  'Imperial Vienna, Johann Strauss and The Blue Danube'; 'Flanders and Swann'; 'Bruckner The Problems';  'An Evening with Winnaretta Singer who inherited her father's sewing machine business and was a passionate lover of music'.;  Musical Invention, imagery and Bach's compositional processes as viewed in the religious Cantatas'.
