Bloomsbury Squares: Photographs, Plays, Prose

For the 2013 Arts Week Competition we wanted your thoughts about and pictures of Bloomsbury Squares.

Beautiful gardens and bivouacs for homeless people; breathing spaces and commercial ventures;  democratic stages and locked retreats – in all these guises Bloomsbury Squares shape and register the life of WC1. More open than quadrangles, less uniform than a campus, do the squares shape the university intellectually and politically, as well as aesthetically? And what do we do, imagine, in the squares winter and summer?
