Event funding for research students

Applications are now invited for funding to support History of Art research students organising a conference, exhibition or event.

We have a limited number of awards, up to £250, to give to organisers to cover potential travel expenses, speaker fees, materials and advertising etc.

Please note there are two conditions attached to each award:

  1. The event in question should take place in Greater London, and preferably central London. This is to enable the largest proportion of Birkbeck students to potentially benefit from each event.
  2. The event must also be free for Birkbeck students to attend (upon receipt of their student id).

If you would like to make an application for funding please complete this form and email to your supervisor. Allow at least six weeks for the processing of claims and factor this into your planning.

We are extremely grateful to ULEMHAS, the Society of past and present Birkbeck Students of Art History, who have recently donated a fund to the Department of History of Art from which these awards will be made.
