BA History of Art

'An interest in photography and a wish to change my career to an art-related field in the longer term led me to study a BA in History of Art. 

'Birkbeck's evening classes and the part-time study programme over four years (only one year more than most full-time degrees) allowed me to continue working full-time and support myself financially. 

'The course changed the way I think about art, especially how it is re-presented in exhibitions, and introduced me to people with similar interests who have become close friends.

'I am currently in my second year of the MA in History of Art at Birkbeck, enjoying independent research into a specific field of photographic history.'
