- Day visits to museums and galleries: a number of our courses are accompanied by visits which usually take place on Saturdays. In the case of courses where classes are too big to undertake field trips, notes and guidelines are often provided so that you can make individual visits.
Libraries: as a Birkbeck student, you will get access to a range of specialist libraries
- The Birkbeck Library gives you access to an excellent collection of history of art resources, many of which are online. You will also be assigned the services of an expert subject librarian.
- You will also have subsidised membership of the British Film Institute Library, located close to Birkbeck.
- You will also get access to the world-renowned British Library.
- Commercial galleries and temporary exhibition galleries like the Barbican Gallery, the Institute of Contemporary Arts, the Hayward Gallery and the Royal Academy make London an excellent place for undertaking research.
