Master’s Circle
Recognising Birkbeck’s most generous donors
Birkbeck is privileged to be the recipient of philanthropic support from a growing number of committed donors. The College has a long philanthropic tradition which stretches right back to its founding by Dr George Birkbeck in 1823. To recognise today's leaders in giving to the College the Master’s Circle was launched in January 2011.
The Master’s Circle recognises the important role of donors to the College’s ongoing strength and success. Members receive advance invites to our most important events and are acknowledged in a distinctive category of the College’s biannual donor publication, the Birkbeck Effect.
Professor David Latchman, Master of Birkbeck states:
“Thank you to all who have helped Birkbeck maintain its philanthropic tradition, established by George Birkbeck in November 1823 when eminent figures of the day donated towards the establishment of the College as a place of evening learning. The value of your support has never been more important. By continuing to work together we will be able to ensure the maintenance and development of our unique contribution to the higher education sector.”
Your donation to Birkbeck
