MSc E-business
As a full-time international student, it was important to Page that he could study for his degree at a respected university.
'I had heard about Birkbeck's reputation, in America, and I wanted to study in an internationally respected setting.'I met students from all over the globe: America, Taiwan, Brazil, Nigeria, France, Poland…As Birkbeck is located in central London, it naturally draws students from a variety of countries.
'I opted for MSc E-business, because people are collaborating around the world developing software, music, even books, and I wanted to learn more about what people were producing on their own, and how this would challenge traditional markets.
'I very much enjoyed classes from across all the departments. I particularly enjoyed examining intellectual property rights and globalisation, and also both courses in economics: Microeconomics of E-commerce and E-commerce Finance and Markets. The first course equips students with a background in economics and the new economy. The second gives you the ability to go out on your own and apply what is happening right now.'
